Roadworthy Vehicles
All vehicles sold by YJF Motors are provided with a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) at the time of sale. This confirms that the vehicle meets the required safety standards and is legally safe to drive on Australian roads.
Our vehicles are inspected to ensure they are in reasonable condition for their age and mileage before being offered for sale.
Dealer Warranty
Many vehicles sold by licensed dealers in Australia are covered by a statutory dealer warranty depending on the vehicle’s age and kilometres. For example, vehicles that are less than 10 years old and have travelled less than 160,000 km are generally covered by a 3-month or 5,000 km statutory warranty (whichever occurs first). 
During the warranty period, the dealer is required to repair faults that affect the normal operation of the vehicle so it remains in a reasonable condition for its age.

What the Warranty Covers
Warranty coverage generally includes faults or defects that affect the normal use or safe operation of the vehicle, such as:
- Major mechanical components
- Engine and transmission defects
- Faults affecting the vehicle’s safe operation
- Issues that make the vehicle unroadworthy
If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, the vehicle should be returned to the dealership so the issue can be inspected and repaired.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
Like most statutory warranties, certain items are not covered, including:
- Tyres and batteries
- Damage caused by accidents after purchase
- Damage caused by misuse or negligence
- Normal wear and tear
- Accessories or non-standard equipment listed in a defect notice
These exclusions are standard for used vehicle warranties. 
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you experience a problem with your vehicle during the warranty period:
- Contact YJF Motors as soon as possible.
- Provide details of the issue and your vehicle information.
- Our team will arrange inspection and repairs if the issue is covered under warranty.
It is important to contact the dealer before arranging repairs elsewhere, as this may affect warranty eligibility.
